Emmanuel is an avid scholar, and is notorious for academic excellence – graduating in the highest category in his LLB class at Ambrose Alli University and at the national bar exam in his year of call in Nigeria. Emmanuel is an alumnus of University of Dundee in Scotland, where he obtained double postgraduate degrees – a master’s degree in law (LLM) in Petroleum Taxation & Finance and a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) in Energy Industry Management. While at University of Dundee, Emmanuel was the editor-in-chief of the university’s energy and natural resources journal (CEPMLP Annual Review) for the 2005/2006 publication. Emmanuel obtained his 3rd postgraduate degree – a master’s degree in law (LLM) with concentration in corporate law and securities regulation from University of Toronto’s Faculty of Law. While at University of Toronto, Emmanuel was a graduate fellow in capital markets research, at the Capital Markets Institute in Toronto.
Emmanuel spends and enjoys his time with his lovely wife and 4 young children. Emmanuel also enjoys travelling with his family, live music, and reading the history and philosophy of ancient times. The family enjoys travelling and learning about new cultures. In 2018, the family packed everything up, accepted an expatriate position in England, and moved over. Weekends and statutory holidays were joyous – hobnobbing around Europe (Rome, Spain, Paris, Amsterdam, you name it!).
Emmanuel and his family are outdoors people who prefer to live as close as possible to nature. Currently, they live in a country estate in rural Alberta, with 2 donkeys (Rosie and Daisy), a puppy (Filey), a cat (Scooter), and lots of migratory birds that visit in the spring (including “Vincent”, the woodpecker, who in the mornings, makes his or her presence known by loudly pecking on the chimney of the outdoor fireplace). There is no end to sightings and sounds of wildlife!
Emmanuel is a responsible firearms collector, and soon to be a vintage car collector (open to suggestions!).
Always in your best interests!
